The clear choice test – 10G Access Switches

Today, February 23, 2009, Network World released the winners of the “2009 Best of the Test” today. The test assessed switches with 10 sets of tests covering L2 and L3 unicast performance; IGMP group multicast capacity; L2 and L3 multicast performance; NAC/802.1X; storm control; power consumption; switch manageability, security, and usability; and switch features. Hewlett-Packard won this test because it had as many features (got an identical score to within one–one hundredth of a point—but cost half as much, and had a better warranty and support plan).
