We are also in the business of designing security systems with Hewlett-Packard and Fortinet products to protect those networks from improper access, attacks and exploitation. We provide video- and voice-over-IP products and services using Mitel and VBrick systems products. We also provide low-cost, high-feature monitoring services for networks and their attached resources. This monitoring services package also includes periodic asset inventory and penetration analysis to determine shortfalls in security protection.

HP ONE (Open Network Ecosystem)

Hewlett-Packard now has built-in application processors that fit into the slots of a 5400zl or 8212zl switch. All of HP’s management and security software, as well as their wireless management system, is being written to this module. They have a long and growing list of third-party partners that are also writing their applications to the ONE module. These include Microsoft, McAfee, Inmon, F5, Mitel, VBrick Systems, SonicWall, Fortinet, AirWave, AirMagnet, Avaya, vantronics, AirTight, and Ekahau. It’s now possible to install network management and network-intrinsic services inside the network. Sort of like Cisco’s promised service oriented network architecture, except that you can get the HP alternative now.

Need a SPAM filter?

Use this one for $1,500. You can invest in a FortiMail appliance that scans up to 54,000 emails an hour to root out SPAM and other pernicious attachments. It can also serve as the foundation device for your new email archiving system, and for smaller locations it can actually serve as your email server—email with archiving, and complete email scanning and protection for a pittance.
