Networking

We provide, install and configure wired and wireless network equipment from Hewlett-Packard and wireless network equipment from Meru Networks.  Both of these are best-of-breed manufacturers of network equipment.

Hewlett-Packard is currently the second largest manufacturer of network equipment in the US, and in the world.  We have sold their networking products for thirteen years, and have their equipment installed on hundreds of networks across the southeastern US.  Most of their equipment comes with a totally free, lifetime service and support program.  This means that the last dollar you spend on an HP switch or access point is the dollar that you use to buy it in the first place.  Their equipment is known for being reliable, stable, inexpensive, and packed with features.  They have introduced IRF, or Intelligent Resilient Fabric, which is a way of making multiple switches look like a single switch.  This helps people put together distributed data centers, where it looks like a single data center to the networked users and the managers, but is located in multiple places—a good way to work disaster avoidance into the IT scheme.

Meru Networks makes a line of wireless network equipment that’s just wonderful.  Mitel is the only manufacturer that provides wireless network equipment that provides wireless connections that have  the beneficial features of wired network connections:

Availability—a Meru wireless connection is always available to the users, no matter who else happens to be using wireless in the same area

Permanence—a Meru wireless connection is always available to the users once they are connected to the wireless network, no matter who else happens to be using wireless in the same area, and no matter where they happen to roam

Stability—once a user is connected, they are guaranteed the same connection speed and response, no matter who else happens to be using wireless in the same area.

What does this mean?  It means that if you have to provide wireless video or voice, or guarantee a wireless connection for things like on-line testing, critical monitoring or other critical communications, Meru should be on your short list.
