We provide several services that don’t involve equipment sales.

The MXN Magic Bus gives us a place to conduct training classes on all products that we sell. We provide semi-customized training on ProCurve configuration and management, ProCurve Manager and Immunity Manager, ProCurve wireless management and operation, Fortinet operation and management (Fortigate, FortiClient and FortiAnalyzer), VBrick operation and management, and Mitel operation and management. The training is semi-customized because although there’s a formal course outline, it can easily be modified to fit your specific training requirements. All training is a combination of class and hands-on lab instruction.

The cost of this training—at $350/person/day, is the most reasonable training alternative you have. This is less than the usual $500/day/person rate for off-site formal training, and you also don’t have to pay for travel—we come to you.

Our monitoring service is also appealing. This grew out of our Mitel support services, where it’s used to assist us in supporting our voice over IP installations. Monitoring a network and the critical attachments to that network can greatly reduce outages, improve the use of technical time, and result in better services delivered to end users. The trouble is that setting up your own local monitoring system is time-consuming, expensive, and only adds to your existing technology management burden. Now anyone can have a world-class monitoring system, with their own custom console and built-in trouble ticketing system. It’s inexpensive—you pay by the month for as many objects as you want to monitor—and there’s no equipment to place on your site. Everything’s accomplished through the Internet. You can monitor the network, voice over IP systems, HVAC and other environmental systems, web servers, databases, email applications, wireless networks, network security, your public web services, and anything else with an SNMP attribute.

BONUS FEATURE: We will also provide an annual asset inventory and an annual security audit of your networks, and email these reports to you. You will get a formal idea of what’s on your networks and in your networks, and also get an idea of how secure your networks are to attack and compromise. These normally very expensive services are generally beyond the reach of modest budgets. We give them to our monitoring service customers for free. Suspend your disbelief. These are the same quality that you’d spend thousands of dollars for; we just do the work remotely over your Internet connection on off-hours using our efficient tools, which makes our own costs minimal.
