Mitel VoIP Appliance
We provide, install and configure Mitel VoIP products.
We like Mitel for a variety of reasons. Here are four main ones:
First, it’s without question the most stable and reliable VoIP system available. We think that this is important to consider if you’re basing your reputation on how often the new phone system is up and running. Remember that you probably have a hard act to follow—those old PBX’s were supremely reliable in their prime. A Mitel system is based on a call controller that’s a hardened network appliance, running a closed operating system (read: little to no chance to be hacked). This appliance comes with redundant power supplies, redundant hard drives, and you can increase reliability by installing a redundant appliance. You can also install the Mitel call control application on a VMware server and run it under VMware High Availability. We have installed dozens of these appliances over the past eight years and to date have seen only one hard drive on one controller fail.

Second, it’s the easiest phone system on the planet to run. You start out with much less hardware than with competing systems—a complete VoIP system with voicemail integrated with email can be run on one appliance. That’s it—one appliance, and then phones. Less hardware means less headaches. (Although we’d like you to have two appliances or a call control alternative sitting on a VMware server.) Management is easy—a series of fill-in-the-blank forms. There’s even a free phone call analyzer that shows you in easy-to-understand detail the particulars of any call. Most people install the phone system and then forget it, except to add or remove users and change personal information.

Mitel VoIP Phones
Third, it is the most full-featured phone system you can buy, with multiple times the features of competing systems—all of the features, in fact, of a huge room-sized PBX. Well over 850 features. Will you ever use all of those features? Certainly not, but it means that if you find you need to process calls in a particular way to optimize your organization, you can do it with Mitel. You won’t have to conform your business to the limitations of a phone system. You also won’t have to run out and find a third-party product to add to the phone system to make it work the way you need (refer back to the previous advantage). And the phones! These phones—inexpensive, compared with other phones—have special circuitry in them that allows them to make high-quality calls over connections that would wreck a competing product’s calls. They also automatically secure all phone conversations with 128-bit AES2 encryption. In fact, all communications—management, phone profile downloads, phone control, and phone calls—are highly encrypted. You can take a Mitel phone anywhere in the world a broadband Internet connection exists, plug it directly into the Internet without a messy VPN, and make a secure call back to the home phone system. This is not a common feature.
Fourth, a Mitel system is very cost-effective. We talked about the small hardware footprint that a Mitel system has—fewer things to buy mean lower costs. If you’re a nonprofit—school, university, government, hospital—there’s also a wonderful nationwide purchasing contract you can use to reduce your costs further.
We also offer very cost-competitive service and support contacts, and can tailor a support program to your individual tastes.
Let us come show you how much better a Mitel system is.
