Hewlett-Packard product support
You can now
add onsite repair or replacement guarantees to the standard free HP
support. It's 13 x 5 for all products, with a 7 x 24 option for larger
switches. The contracts are written per switch, for a three year time
period. As you might expect for HP products, the costs are most
reasonable. For example, the cost of three years of onsite support, 7 x
24, with a four hour maximum response, for a fully-loaded 5308xl core switch,

four-slot, very high capacity Layer 3 and 4 routing switch version of the
larger 9308M. Supports the same type of connections and uses the same modules
as the 9308M, and runs the same software, but supports half the number of
connections. Total throughput is also half that of the 9308M, or 48
million packets/second. Suitable as a core switch in networks that do
not require more than 32 wire speed gigabit Ethernet connections, or no more
than 24 gigabit Ethernet connections and 24 fast Ethernet connections.
This switch comes with one power supply installed. Redundant, hot-swap
